The Needham based law firm of Goldman & Pease is pleased and proud to announce that Attorney Sidney Gorovitz and Attorney Rachel Zoob-Hill have joined the firm.
Mr. Gorovitz is a long time, respected member of the Massachusetts Bar, and has been in practice for almost 50 years. Mr. Gorovitz was a founding member and senior partner in the law firm of Gorovitz and Borten, P.C. where, for over 20 years, the practice focused on civil litigation and specialized in medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury. During its tenure, the firm of Gorovitz and Borten successfully settled and tried cases resulting in the recovery of over $100 million dollars for the firm’s clients. As a seasoned “hands on” litigator, Mr. Gorovitz has participated in over 100 Superior Court jury trials, and scores of mediations and arbitrations. For the past eight consecutive years, Mr. Gorovitz has been voted by his peers as a “Massachusetts Super Lawyer”, a prestigious peer to peer designation recognizing the leaders in the practice of laws.
Mrs. Zoob-Hill concentrates her practice in civil litigation, real estate, business law, and employment law. She is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She has represented clients before several regulatory agencies, including the U.S. Securities Enforcement Division, FINRA, and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Mrs. Zoob-Hill earned her B.A. in Biology and Philosophy from Trinity College, Connecticut and conducted graduate work at the Institute for Applied Research in Israel. Following a career as a lobbyist and fundraiser, she attended Boston University Law School, where she graduated cum laude as a G. Joseph Tauro and Edward Hennessey Scholar and the recipient of the Mr. & Mrs. John Silber Award for Academic Excellence. Mrs. Zoob-Hill began her career as a summer clerk for the Honorable A. David Mazzone of the U.S. District Court in Boston, and began her private practice at a large Boston law firm.
Mrs. Zoob-Hill lives in Newton with her husband and two children, and when not representing clients she enjoys hiking and volunteering with several environmental organizations.
